Our approach

We firmly believe what’s truly important in life isn’t measured by material things. What counts are the inspiring & deep connections, the moments and experiences, that we share with each other. We want to inspire and help you creating a meaningful wedding where you can seal your vows in whatever way is perfect for you.

You can come as you are

Outdoor elopements allow us to create a safe space where you can prioritize connecting with your partner and nature. It is a space where you can tell us what love means to you and what your dreams are. Because when you tell us all about it, we can plan a wedding that is true to yourselves and preserve everything that is important to you in precious photos & videos.

Caring about the environment is a matter of heart to us. All three of us are “Leave no Trace” certified, so you can be assured that we will take the utmost care that nature is being treated as it should be – with respect. We try to choose sustainable solutions in all our daily work, like eco-friendly, climate-neutral and vegan materials and digital alternatives.
We truly believe that love knows no boundaries. That’s why everyone is welcome here at Nomadic Hearts, we are LGBTQIA+-friendly, BIPOC inclusive and of course body size does not matter to us. The mountains and nature are there for everyone!
Working primarily in the mountains takes a lot of responsibility. We are members of the German Alpine Club and before every hike we gather the latest information about the specific area, have gear recommendations for you depending on the season and are always prepared in case an emergency happens.

Photo & Film
As a little kid we planned and filmed our vision of what a news channel should look like. Behind an office desk with only good news to tell. Back then I was already the one behind the camera, filming it all. That’s probably where my passion for photography and videography started. A bit different to capturing true emotions at stunning locations, right?
In 2019 I was at the same point where you probably are right now, too: Lisa & I started planning our own wedding. We started searching for inspirations and found all the beautiful decorated mega events that you’ve already seen so many times on TV etc. So it was no surprise that we chose the traditional route. I wish there was someone out there telling me there was an alternative, that allowed introverted people like myself, who don’t like being the centre of attention at all and feel most alive in nature, to celebrate something that is 100% true to themselves.
But thankfully I do know now. And I became that person, that is here to tell the world to not feel overwhelmed by all the presumed rules and traditions how a wedding should look like and just do what makes your hearts sing.

Although I practically inherited this profession as my grandfather was also a photographer, photographing weddings wasn’t the first path I chose. Sometimes I wonder how such a big passion could be hidden for such a long time. The answer probably is: because I always thought weddings are all about cheesy traditions and clichés. As I love being in nature and questioning existing traditions, this route didn’t sound very tempting to me – until I first heard of elopements.
Combining my love for nature & being outside with creating something meaningful for bold couples became my passion. I love to help you focus on all the things that truly matter on your wedding day. I love for you to have an unforgettable experience on which you don’t regret anything. And I love to create a space for you where you can get married without having to please anyone else.

Planning
So here I am, planning your awesome and adventurous elopement – I couldn’t be more excited. But it took me some time to figure out that planning elopements is and will always be my No. 1, my favorite thing to do. Apparently, I had to do 10 years of event planning, including big traditional weddings, before I realized that there is something else waiting for me, calling my name – elopements.
As a mountain lover myself (no matter which season) I fully understand what things you need to consider when planning your elopement in the great outdoors. As I have lived in Brussels, Bordeaux, Istanbul and even New Zealand I 100% know how it feels when your heart is longing for that next adventure & for travelling the world together.
Oh and fyi: If you ever wonder, if your plans might be too adventurous – don’t worry I have got you covered. I will hike on your special day, go skiing with you or ride a horse, just hit me with your best and biggest dreams.
