Winter Elopement in the Dolomites
You’ve probably already noticed, if you've been browsing through our previous blog posts (and if you haven’t, now’s the perfect time to catch up!), that we are absolutely in love with winter elopements. There’s something truly magical about winter, and when it comes to winter elopements in the Alps, they offer a completely unique experience. And this one was no exception!
Although we didn’t have much time to plan K&G’s winter elopement in the Dolomites, it ended up being a dream come true. The couple envisioned their day beginning in a luxurious chalet, and with their shared passion for sports, G decided not to skip his workout. He kicked off the day with a gym session while K got ready for the day ahead. K chose to do her own hair and makeup, wanting to enjoy those moments of excitement and anticipation in private. Once she slipped into her stunning dress, it was time for their first look. Speaking of time, K surprised G with a pocket watch that perfectly complemented his tweed suit and the look he was going for. But let’s get back to the first look – the couple chose to share this moment right outside their chalet, with the sun just beginning to rise above the mountain peaks, setting the perfect backdrop for their first sighting of each other in their wedding attire.
After their first look, we all hopped into our cars and drove to their first location of the day: Seceda! This place is absolutely breathtaking, whether you visit in the winter or summer, and it felt even more magical with a few of the locals cheering (and even singing!) for K&G. We met up with Enrico, their celebrant, and took the gondola up to the top of the mountain. Max and Lisa had already scouted the ideal spot for the ceremony. Far from the skiers, we had an intimate spot all to ourselves, surrounded by the majestic scenery that created the perfect atmosphere. The ceremony was filled with so much love and passion, and right at the end, K&G shared their private vows.
After such an emotional ceremony, what’s better than a bit of adventure? Instead of hiking down to the mountain hut where K&G enjoyed their lunch, we opted for a snowmobile ride – and oh, did we have fun! Of course, we couldn’t resist stepping outside again for a few more couple photos with the stunning mountains as our backdrop before heading back to the gondola to descend the mountain.
But the mountains weren’t the only thing K&G wanted to incorporate into their day. Both of them have a deep love for old European towns and their charming marketplaces, so we made sure to stop at a beautiful town on our way back to the chalet. Strolling through the streets, soaking in the history, and relaxing in a nearby bar felt like the perfect way for K&G to unwind. For us, it’s always important that our couples truly enjoy their day, taking time to relax and soak in every moment. Afterward, we headed back to their chalet a little earlier, where Anne had decorated a stunning dinner table just for them. We snapped a few more photos by the fireside, capturing the final, intimate moments of their day.
They ended their unforgettable day with a private wine tasting and a special dinner, all prepared just for them in their chalet. It was truly a memorable day, and we were honored to be part of this special adventure. K&G, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
“Amazing experience with Max Lisa and Anne in our Italian elopement! We weren’t sure how to go about a wedding so far away but they explained everything and took all the work off our plate. On our wedding day we had the best team working sure everything was perfect. They have great style and are amazing photogs. Very magical experience. Highly recommend!”
